Birthdays are a prime time for reflection. Greensboro is having a birthday this year – its 200th as you know! Birthdays of a municipal nature always get me thinking about freedom.

If I could have only one thing free to me in the world it would be to dance. Strange choice perhaps considering I’m a writer but without moving my body, I find my mind becomes imprisoned. And what good is a writer who’s all locked up inside?

So I ask you to explore yourselves and contemplate this question: What’s one freedom you couldn’t live without or your soul would wilt?

And then tell us about it!
