Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership and Learning (WELL)

Perhaps you’ve always wanted to start a business of your own? Coming this November is an excellent opportunity for those ambitions to start becoming a reality for women of all ages. The Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro are presenting the second Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership and Learning (WELL) Conference on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Dudley High School in Greensboro. The conference will be an educational event for women entrepreneurs and college and high school students interested in entrepreneurship. Adult cost is $30.00 and $15.00 for teenagers. Adults will have the opportunity to attend up to four workshops with the goal of developing and/or enhancing their business skills in a variety of areas such as:
- Executing successful online marketing strategies
- Qualifying for and obtaining funding
- Accessing the resources needed to maintain a competitive edge in today’s challenging economy
High school girls will also have a full day of entrepreneurial workshops in:
- t-shirt design
- handbag creation
- recycling clothes and more.
