Biography

When Jessica Leigh graduated with a degree in creative writing, she figured she'd be slinging lattes for the rest of her life, so she shaved her head, moved into a VW bus and set off for Alaska. Good thing the van broke down just north of San Francisco, because she just hates cold weather. Her barista skills got plenty of play in the redwoods, but she soon became assistant editor of an alternative newsweekly, found a Savannah son to marry and gave birth to two loud, creative children. The whole family moved back to the Low Country in 2006, where she now happily serves as editor of skirt!Savannah/Hilton Head. But she can still whip up a seven-layer latte like nobody's business.
